Hot new BMW M5 CS teased just days before New Year’s eve
The head of BMW’s M division Markus Flasch has given us a peek at the upcoming BMW M5 CS. He has posted a couple of teaser videos on his Instagram just days ahead of New Year’s eve.
The M5 CS will be the most hardcore version of the sports sedan and is likely to be built in limited numbers. As Markus points out, the car gets certain design elements that make it stand out. The M5 CS gets motorsport-inspired yellow LED daytime running lights. It has forged alloy wheels finished in Gold Bronze and matching grille frame and other details. It also gets carbon bucket seats from the new M3 and M4.
The BMW M5 CS is likely to get tweaked suspension and a more potent version of the 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine. At present, in the M5 Competition it makes 641 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque.
Earlier this year, the M5 CS was spotted testing at the Nurburgring. Here’s a video of the car lapping the racetrack.
