Wrapping a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster can be a nightmare
Wrapping a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster in paint protection film (PPF) seems like an installer’s nightmare.
A rare supercar like the Veneno Roadster requires special care when detailing and installing a paint protection film. Usually, PPF is pre-cut from the factory to match the car’s body panels. With so many intricate surfaces on the Veneno, it’s not that simple.
The process begins by giving the car a thorough clean. The wheels are cleared off all the dirt and grime and the bodywork is decontaminated and washed. The wheels are detailed separately. The suspension components are steam cleaned, while the brake calipers receive a ceramic coating.
This Veneno Roadster is one of just nine cars ever built. It is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine that delivers 740 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. Lamborghini also built 5 coupes.
Roadster cost $4 million back when it was new. Last year, a white example was sold for $8.4 million at auction.
