Bentley EXP 100 GT Concept-3

$1.9 million Bentley open-top sports tourer in the works

If you were contemplating on purchasing an ultra-exclusive and expensive Bentley, you’re in luck.

According to Autocar, Bentley is working on a $2 million open-top sports tourer. Targeting the super rich, the new model is being created by Mulliner – the brand’s famous coach-building arm.

It is believed that the new hyper expensive sports tourer could draw inspiration from the EXP 100 GT concept, which was revealed as part of Bentley’s centenary celebrations. If that turns out to be true then, the new model could get an ornate front grille with large circular headlights. It could get large wheel arches in typical Bentley fashion and an interior made out of expensive leather and wood veneers.

It has been reported that the new Bentley will be powered by a conventional petrol engine and not a hybrid. The car is likely to use the 6.0-liter W12 unit from the Continental GT producing 626 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The lack of a roof is expected to make the new Bentley pretty brisk. It is estimated to be quicker than the Continental GT which does 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds.

While we don’t know how many cars Bentley is planning build, there won’t be a lot on offer. The first car is expected to arrive in 2021.
