2019 Acura NSX gets $20,000 DISCOUNT and it’s a Secret
Why is the manufacturer not advertising the insane $20,000 discount on the 2019 Acura NSX price tag is another mystery. But the incentive is working as the sales have improved.
Despite its excellent Japanese engineering, hand-built in America status and gorgeous design, the Acura NSX isn’t being lapped up by supercar buyers the way the manufacturer desires. Only 170 units were sold in the US last year and the best number it has had so far since the big launch in 2016 was 581 units in 2017.
To make the 2019 Acura NSX more appealing to supercar buyers, the carmaker has been secretly offering a $20,000 discount on the 2019 Acura NSX since March 2019. Applying that to the $159,300 starting price of the NSX, it’s quite a deal which is a steal.
Acura is trying by all means to improve the sales of the much-hyped revival of the celebrated NSX supercar from the 90s. But why exactly are they not promoting this offer on a larger scale is baffling. There should be promotional material all over the web and all around the dealerships. Perhaps Acura is being quiet about the discount so that it doesn’t have an adverse effect on the image and value of the NSX brand.
This rebate was kept so secretive that MotorTrend affiliate IntelliChoice had to dive into JATO Dynamics data to pull out this piece of information. Interestingly enough, the sales of the 2019 Acura NSX has improved since the $20,000 discount came into play.
The offer will be running all the way until March 2020. Quick trivia to wind up the post. The $20,000 discount is the highest-known incentive in the industry so far.
