Bugatti Chiron now Available with Sky View Glass Roof
Bugatti has added yet another feature to the already long options list of the Chiron. Customers of the Chiron will now be able to spec their cars with a glass roof. Bugatti calls it Sky View and it consists of two glass panels fixed above the driver’s and passenger’s seat.
Each glass measures 65 mm in length and is 44 mm in width. The glass panels have a newly developed laminated structure with thin glass and four intermediate layers. The laminated nature of the glass helps keep wind noise, ultraviolet radiation out, while thermally insulating the cabin. The glass is tinted for privacy and to prevent dazzle effects. The laminated design also claimed to improve the stiffness of the roof panels. The optional Sky View glass roof offers 2.7 cm of additional headroom as well.
A Bugatti Chiron fitted with the Sky View glass roof will be revealed at Pebble Beach next month.
