591 HP 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant is Coming to America!
Oh yeah! The US market is getting the totally badass 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant sports wagon which belts out enough power to make sports cars weep.
The new performance wagon is a true celebration of the RS brand’s 25 years of operations and yes, it’s coming to the US. The 2020 Audi RS6 Avant will be offered in the North American market, complete with that juicy 591 hp engine and the muscular styling which is an absolute head-turner.
The front and rear have received an aggressive makeover giving the sports wagon the mean and distinctive look it deserves. The angular grille flanked by two enormous intake vents at the front, dual exhaust pipes on either end of the black mesh diffuser at the back, and silver trim in all the right places bestow it with an edgy look.
Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged, hybridized 4.0-liter V8 producing 591 hp and 590 lb-ft. Beyond doubt, the most powerful RS6 Avant to roll off the production line, the souped-up Audi employs an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox that directs power to all four wheels via a full-time Quattro AWD system. Top speed is limited to 155 mph. Yep, that’s sad news. But you can certainly terrorize the neighbor’s sports car with a 0-62 dash in 3.6 seconds.
And for those customers who wish to have a higher top speed, the optional Dynamic and Dynamic Plus packages will hike the top whack to 174 mph and 190 mph respectively. A mechanically operated central differential comes bundled with both packs.
An adaptive air suspension is part the standard equipment, lowering the car at high speeds and lifting it at low speeds. You really don’t want those expensive bodywork repairs, do you? Customers who demand more from their suspension setup can tick the RS Sports Suspension Plus option. It adds the Dynamic Ride Control setup with new steel springs and 3-stage adjustable dampers to the sports wagon.
Coming to the US in 2020, the Audi RS6 Avant will be available only as a custom-ordered car.
