2027 BMW M5 facelift spied; to adopt Neue Klasse design
The G90 BMW M5 made its debut in 2024, and it seems a facelift version is already in the works. The first spy images of the upcoming BMW M5 facelift recently surfaced online, revealing some interesting details.
It appears that the M5 facelift will adopt the Neue Klasse design philosophy. This is evident from the flat-ish front fascia. The car will also get redesigned LED headlamps and a slimmer and wider kidney grille. The updated M5 will feature slim wraparound LED taillights and the signature quad exhausts.
Apart from the design overhaul, BMW will continue to offer the same plug-in hybrid powertrain as the current model. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid delivers 717 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic and an all-wheel drive system, allowing the 2.4-tonne sedan to sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds. The M5 has a floor-mounted 14.8 kWh battery pack that gives it an electric range of 25 miles.
