2025 Porsche 911 Turbo S could get a 710 hp Hybrid Powertrain
Earlier this month, an image of the 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo facelift popped up on the official configurator, giving us a glimpse of the 911 Turbo 992.2. Now that we have a rough idea of what the car is going to look like, here’s some information about its powertrain.
As is with the current generation of the Porsche 911 and those gone by, the new model too will be offered in Turbo and Turbo S flavors. The most notable difference between the outgoing model and the 992.2 gen is the hybrid powertrain.
Both variants will feature Porsche’s T-Hybrid system. Rumors suggest that the standard Turbo will have 640 hp. Interestingly, it comes in a rear-wheel drive configuration and could get an optional manual gearbox. The hotter 911 Turbo S will feature all-wheel drive and a PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. Moreover, this version is said to have 710 hp.
Currently, the 911 Turbo uses a 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-6 engine that produces 572 hp and 640 hp in Turbo and Turbo S trims, respectively. Porsche says the Turbo S will do 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 205 mph.
