Bentley has confirmed that the 2024 Flying Spur will be offered with the brand’s Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain. It’s the same engine that made its debut in the new-gen Continental GT Speed last month.
The new Bentley Flying Spur will be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 592 hp. It will be paired with a 187 hp electric motor, for a combined output of 771 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque.
The new V8 hybrid powertrain delivers almost 148 hp more than the old W12 engine. The electric motor boosts acceleration from low speeds and throughout the mid-range.
As such, the new Flying Spur will be the most powerful four-door Bentley ever. It will also be capable of running on electric power alone for up to 45 miles, courtesy of a large battery pack. Bentley also claims an overall range of more than 500 miles.
