2024 Mercedes-AMG GT world premiere to be held on August 17

Mercedes-Benz has announced that the global premiere of the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT will take place at Pebble Beach on August 17, 2023.

The new AMG GT is the fifth vehicle to have been developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. A prototype was showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last month.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT is expected to be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It will also get an S E Performance variant featuring a hybrid powertrain. Rumors suggest it could pack 831 hp and a mind-boggling 1,033 lb-ft of torque.

Unlike the previous AMG GT, the new model has a cleaner design with several curved surfaces and fewere aggressive lines. It has a low-slung Panamericana grille flanked by a set new LED headlights. The car almost looks like a hard-top version of the new SL.

Speaking of the SL, Mercedes will also unveil a heavily customized special edition of the roadster, while Mercedes-Maybach will have the Zeppelin DS 7 from a private collection on display
