2024 Mercedes-AMG GT leaked ahead of its official debut

The first official images of the new Mercedes-AMG GT have leaked online. The car is set to be unveiled this week at Pebble Beach.

The Mercedes-AMG GT is expected to be offered in two variants – GT 55 and GT 63. In terms of design, the new model looks more like a coupe version of the new SL. It has a similar front grille with sweptback headlamps but new LED DRLs, while the rear features triple LED tail lights with a black strip connecting the two clusters. The GT 63, seen in these images, has a fixed rear spoiler and quad exhausts.

The interior of the new AMG GT looks similar to that of the SL. It has a large, vertically-oriented touchscreen in the centre, a sporty 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital cockpit.

The AMG GT will be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The GT 55 variant is likely to have 469 hp, while the GT 63 is said to have 585 hp.

That being said, the elephant in the room is the car’s weight. The AMG GT is rumoured to weigh around 1970 kg, which is a lot for a “sports car”.
