2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 sells for $275,000 at Mecum auctions

Expectations are high every time a new Corvette Z06 comes out. And the 2023 model didn’t disappoint. The new mid-engined Z06 is flying off the shelves, which means high dealer markups. But how about paying $100,000 over the sticker?

With a hammer price of $250,000, that’s exactly what a gentleman at the Mecum Kissimmee auction paid for a 2023 Corvette Z06. The final price tag, including the buyer’s commission, was $275,000!

This particular Corvette Z06 has a Torch Red exterior with a black stripe and black forged alloys, which seems like a fairly mediocre spec. It even has the base GT1 seats inside. It’s VIN 316 and has 15 miles on the odometer.

The Z06 packs a 5.5-liter V8 engine featuring a flat-plane crank, dual overhead cams and dry sump lubrication. The result is 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The naturally-aspirated V8 is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic that sends power to the rear axle. Chevrolet claims the new Z06 will sprint from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 195 mph.
