2020 Porsche 718 Cayman T & 718 Boxster T priced from $66,400
The 718 Cayman T and 718 Boxster T are two entry-level Porsches aimed at enthusiasts and these are now available in America.
The 718 Cayman T and 718 Boxster T come equipped with more standard kit compared to the GTS variants. The cars get PASM Sport Suspension with shorter springs and re-tuned dampers, a lower ride height, a mechanical limited-slip differential, torque vectoring and 20-inch Carrera S wheels. The sports exhaust also comes as standard on both models.
On the interior, the cars get a GT Sport steering wheel, sports seats with Sport Tex fabric upholstery, optional bucket seats and lightweight door loops instead of door handles.
Under the hood, the 718 Cayman T and 718 Boxster T use the same 2.0-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The motor is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. However, customers do get the option of a PDK dual-clutch automatic too, which comes with the launch control function.
The 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman T costs $66,400, while the 718 Boxster T is priced at $68,500, excluding delivery, processing and handling charges.
But, if you are really into track days, then the 718 Cayman GT4 would be the ideal sports car for you. It packs a 4.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine that develops 414 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. It will 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds and has enough grunt to reach a top speed of 189 mph.
