The new Land Rover Defender is coming to Frankfurt in September and now there is a teaser image and video to get the party started.
Come September 10 and we’ll get a proper look of the 2020 Land Rover Defender. Yep, we have already seen one on the set of the upcoming James Bond 007 spy thriller – No Time to Die. But nothing beats the sight of seeing the ruggedly-handsome SUV basking in the glory of a dozen super-bright display lights.
The 2020 Land Rover Defender is coming to Frankfurt next month and the British manufacturer of some of the finest off-roaders on the planet has now released a teaser image and video to get us excited.
The off-roader has to live up to its legacy and has massive shoes to fill. So Land Rover is putting the new model through rigorous tests in different parts of the world.
The teaser video named “Expedition 001” shows the Defender blazing through the remote Valley of the Castles in Kazakhstan, on its first expedition en route to Frankfurt, Germany. The region in the video is referred to as one of the most land-locked locations on earth, with towering 300 m canyons.
This test marks the culmination of an exhaustive global testing programme which expected the off-roader to complete 45,000 individual tests and endure temperatures ranging from -40 to +50 celsius.
As for the teaser image, it’s a narrow-cropped picture which shows the new front grille and DEFENDER badge, all of which is covered in dirt. A photo taken right when the new mud-plugger was is in its elements.
The 2020 Land Rover Defender’s Frankfurt launch livestream can be watched from 08:50 BST / 09:50 CEST on Land Rover’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Land Rover will start accepting orders right after the world debut.
