2019 New York Auto Show: Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Package is Perfection
If you love the new speedster on the block, then the Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Package is the best suit you can buy for the limited special edition sports car.
Is the all-new Porsche 911 Speedster among the best-looking cars at the 2019 New York Auto Show? Of course, it is. But when you park the car in the images below right next to the regular model, then you may lose your heart to this one. What you see is the Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Package. Basically, it adds a bunch of tasteful, retro-inspired elements to the already gorgeous sports car.
Porsche’s ultra-fancy Exclusive Manufaktur wing has taken a trip back in time to create some unique aesthetic enhancements which kick up the exclusivity factor a notch. It starts off with a mandatory coat of GT Silver Metallic paint which is offset by white front bumpers and arrows on the front fenders.
Want to make the recipe more in line with the motorsport history of Porsche? How about “gumball” graphics on the hood and doors with a number of your liking? Is that too much for your tastes? Skip it then and the old-fashioned “Porsche” lettering that runs over the lower portion of the doors and quarter panels will still keep things retro for you.
Wheels are painted in platinum. But you can opt for the same shade of silver as the rest of the car. The carbon ceramic brakes are painted black with the white lettering standing out. Gold badges all around complete the exterior package.
Inside, the two-tone cognac and black leather take over the reins. The seatbacks and interior trim have been color-coded to match the silver exterior while the headrests proudly flaunt the Porsche crest in an embossed fashion. The steering wheel gets a 12 o’clock stripe in the same cognac leather shade. The center console lid is wrapped in cognac leather and features “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur” lettering.
Porsche hasn’t declared how much more you got to shell out over the Porsche 911 Speedster’s $274,500 price tag to get it decked up with the Heritage Package. But we suspect that applying the retro pack will take the total cost to somewhere above $300,000.
