2018 Geneva Motor Show: Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Collection
Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Collection has actual silver in its paint and a ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ made out of solid silver.
Rolls Royce plans to pay homage to the legendary Silver Ghost with a limited run, special edition of the current Rolls Royce Ghost sedan. The Silver Ghost Collection will be showcased at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The Silver Ghost Collection will be limited to just 35 units with each car painted in Cassiopeia Silver with actual silver particles and a hand painted coachline. To top it all off, the ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ hood ornament will be crafted out of solid silver with a black gold-plated and hammered copper base. It also gets a unique black grille.
The interior of the cars will be wrapped in Forest Green leather upholstery just like the original. There’s silver-onlaid open pore wood trim on the dashboard with a special clock and silver tipped leather door panels. Besides, every Silver Ghost Collection will be shipped with a watch, pen and sunglasses as well as a special picnic hamper. Even the umbrellas come with an oak handle.
Mechanically, the Silver Ghost Collection is identical to the 2018 Ghost. It is powered by a 6.6-litre, twin-turbo V12 engine that delivers 563 hp @ 5250 rpm and 575 lb-ft of torque @ 1500 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
