2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class, CLS Shooting Brake unveiled
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the facelift CLS-Class and Shooting Brake models. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class has made its video debut along with all the technical details. The recent update is merely a facelift that includes a new front bumper and redesigned headlights. The popular model keeps its characteristic coupe-like profile both on the four-door and Shooting Brake body styles. Mercedes-Benz has also revealed details about the new CLS63 AMG as well.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class uses the latest 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission mated to more powerful and efficient engines. The high-performance versions of the CLS-Class include the CLS550 which uses a 4.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 408 horsepower. The CLS63 AMG on the other hand gets a more potent 5.5-liter Bi-turbo V8 packed with 557 horsepower. Those wanting for more power can go for the CLS63 AMG S which uses the same Bi-Turbo V8 but with 585 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard across the AMG range and so is the new 9-speed transmission.
As far as equipment is concerned, the new Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class gets new MULTIBEAM LED headlights, an updated COMAND infotainment system with LINGUATRONIC voice control. Safety features on the car include collision prevention, Stop&Go Pilot, Steering Assist, DISTRONIC PLUS, PRE-SAFE Brake with pedestrian warning, Blind spot recognition and assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign assist, PARKTRONIC and 360 degree camera.
