$2.7 million Apollo IE hypercar will make your eardrums bleed

The Apollo Intensa Emozione, also known as the Apollo IE, recently took part in the Milano Monza Motorshow (MIMO) in Italy. It also gave us a chance to witness the V12 hypercar get thrashed around the Monza circuit.

The first thing you notice about the Apollo IE is its design. The car has a very organic shape that is said to be inspired by insects and marine animals.

At its heart is a Ferrari-derived 6.3-liter V12 engine that generates 780 hp @ 8500 rpm and 561 lb-ft of torque at 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed sequential manual gearbox that sends power to the rear axle. Apollo claims the IE will do 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 208 mph.

Another factor contributing to the overall experience of driving the Apollo IE is the sound. The naturally aspirated V12 is raw and loud, something showgoers were able to witness first-hand.
