1955 Ferrari 410 Sport Spider could fetch $30 Million at auction
The RM Sotheby’s auction will be held at Pebble Beach in less than a month from now. This year, there are quite a few blue-chip collector cars on offer, but there’s one that will surely make headlines.
RM Sotheby’s is offering a chance to own a 1955 Ferrari 410 Sport Spider. It’s one of just two Factory-campaigned cars and was driven by some of the most celebrated names in motorsports. Now, a rare Ferrari with racing history doesn’t come cheap, and this 410 Sport is no exception. It could sell for anywhere between $25-30 million when it hits the auction block on August 20, 2022.
The Ferrari 410 Sport Spider is powered by a 4.9-liter V12 engine. It raced at the 1956 1000 km Buenos Aires in the hands of the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio.
This 410 Sport was also piloted by Carroll Shelby during the 1956 and 1957 seasons. He won 8 races and finished on the podium on 10 occasions. From 1956 to 1958, the car entered 40 races and secured 11 wins and 19 podiums.
This 410 Sport Spider is said to be a highly original example with matching numbers. It is one of those rare Ferraris that was designed and built by Sergio Scaglietti.
