1350 HP Czinger 21C is a hypercar unlike any other
Los Angeles-based Czinger has revealed the production version of its ground-breaking hypercar. One glance at the Czinger 21C and you realize this ain’t your usual hypercar.
The 21C is built in part using additive manufacturing technologies, also known as 3D printing. Further, each component is computationally engineered using AI and is optimized for weight and performance. The result is a car that weighs less than 1240 kg and has a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1.
The Czinger 21C uses a mid-mounted, 2.88-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine coupled with an 800 V electric drive and regen system. The electric motor drives the front wheels, while the petrol engine powers the rear axle. The combined output is a meaty 1250 hp @ 11000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automated manual transmission. Czinger can also boost the output to 1350 hp if you want. The car also has a zero-emissions EV mode.
So, here we have a very unconventional 3D printed car that’s right up there with all the hypercar greats. You will be amazed to know that it goes from 0 to 62 mph in just 1.9 seconds! That’s faster than a Bugatti Chiron.
The 21C accelerates from 0-186 mph in 8.5 seconds, while 248 mph comes up in 21.3 seconds. Its top speed is 281 mph.
Only 80 examples of the frankly insane Czinger 21C will be produced.
