Koenigsegg Agera Successor Teased Ahead of 2019 Geneva Motor Show
Koenigsegg has released the first teaser image of the Agera successor at a new dealership opening.
The Swedish hypercar manufacturer recently opened its new franchise in Melbourne, Australia. Attendees at the inauguration of Lorbek Luxury Cars were presented with a teaser image of the Agera replacement. The new hypercar is set to make its debut next year at the Geneva Motor Show.
The image appears to be an early sketch of the car. If not for the new large rear-wing and a different double-bubble roof design, we would have easily mistaken it for the Regera. The rear fender design is very similar to what we have seen on the hybrid hypercar and so is the tail-light design.
Christian Von Koenigsegg has promised that the Agera successor will be even more capable than its predecessor and more ‘race-like’. Information about the car is scarce for now but here’s what we’ve learned so far – The Agera replacement will be lighter than its predecessor and won’t be a hybrid. Instead, it will stick with the twin-turbo V8, which is being refined and tuned.
Koenigsegg showcased a virtual reality model of the car to potential customers at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. When it launches, the Agera successor will be produced alongside the Regera at Koenigsegg’s Angelhom factory.
