Hennessey Performance will Build you a 1500hp Dodge Demon

The world’s fastest accelerating series production car was unveiled at the 2017 New York Auto Show. The Dodge Demon, thanks to its 840 hp and tweaked suspension can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.3 sec.

Now, you might think 840 hp is all you’d get from the 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Apparently, that’s not the case. Hennessey Performance have found a way to tune the Dodge Demon to 1500 hp. That’s the same amount for performance you get from a Bugatti Chiron.

Now, as you know, the Dodge Demon has been banned by the NHRA for being “too fast” for the racetrack. Hennessey will also address that by installing a competition-spec roll cage.

Dodge created the Demon to be street-legal. Hennessey has similar plans. They want to build a road-legal muscle car with 1500 hp. Revised cam timing, open headers, a more aggressive supercharger with a custom full-length exhaust is all it takes to reach that figure.

The HPE1000 package will also include a drag parachute. In addition, you get warranty. That said, the price for this upgrade is yet to announced.
